Friday Bazar Shopping Trip (3 Oct 2025)

Senior girls from Umeed-e-Noor visited the Friday Bazar for a supervised grocery-shopping outing organized under the centre’s life-skills development programme. This marked the students’ first experience of independent shopping, and it was met with great enthusiasm.
• Built practical life skills such as budgeting, planning and decision-making.
• Boosted students’ confidence and sense of personal responsibility through hands-on, real-world practice.
• Interactions with shopkeepers strengthened communication skills, basic etiquette and social cooperation.
• Exposure to different food items, textures and smells provided a rich sensory learning experience.
• Reinforced academic concepts including counting money and reading product labels/prices.
